Written Before Us - A Poem

In the silence of our mind's refrain,
We wonder, question, and feel the pain.
But all we seek, and all we fear,
Was written long before we were here.

Our thoughts may rise, our hearts may fall,
Yet fate remains, beyond it all.
For in this world of winding fate,
Our hands are bound, though we debate.

So we move through time’s embrace,
A dance we cannot hope to trace.
In shadows deep, we search for light,
Chasing answers through the endless night.
Yet in the stillness, we come to see,
That all we are is what we’re meant to be.

So we surrender, not in defeat,
But in the knowing, our fates complete.
For in this life, with all its grace,
We find our peace in time’s embrace,

And though we wander, lost or found,
The path we walked was always bound.

Gist of the Poem:
The poem depicts the power of destiny and emphasizes the fact that "our thoughts, our dissatisfaction will not change anything; everything is predestined." The poem shows no matter how much we worry or wish for things to be different, the events of our lives are already set in motion. Our emotions and desires, while powerful, cannot alter the course of what is meant to happen. The poem suggests that fate, or a greater force beyond our control, guides our journey. It urges us to accept that some things are beyond our power. Through this acceptance, rather than resisting life’s flow, we find peace, realizing that everything unfolds for a reason—even if we don’t fully understand it. Life, like a dance we cannot trace, moves us through time’s embrace, and our peace comes from surrendering to the rhythm of destiny.
