Friendship is Like a Bicycle

Friendship is Like a Bicycle Friendship is much like a bicycle it relies on balance, cooperation, and movement from both wheels to move forward smoothly. Each wheel represents a person in the relationship, and for the journey to be steady and fulfilling, both must turn with equal effort and understanding. When one wheel stops working, whether due to ego, lack of communication, or unwillingness to make an effort, the bicycle becomes difficult to steer. It may wobble, slow down, or even crash. Similarly, when one friend holds back or lets pride take the lead, the connection suffers. True friendship thrives when both people pedal together, helping one another navigate the ups and downs of life. It takes trust, humility, and consistent effort to maintain a friendship. Just like a bicycle, it’s not about going fast or far alone; it’s about riding together in sync, supporting each other every mile of the way.

When Brief Encounters Leave Deep Marks

Life has a unique way of teaching us through the people we meet, especially the ones who don’t stay. Some people come into our lives for only a short while. Their presence may be brief, but the impact they leave can be lifelong. These temporary people often teach us permanent lessons  about love, trust, betrayal, patience, forgiveness, self-worth, and resilience. Maybe they entered during a time when you needed comfort, only to leave when you became attached. Maybe they made promises they never kept, or perhaps they simply drifted away without warning. At first, it hurts. The sudden distance, the unanswered questions, the emotional weight of feeling abandoned or misunderstood. But over time, something becomes clear: they were part of your growth. Temporary people show us who we are and what we truly need. They remind us not to ignore red flags, not to depend too heavily on others for happiness, and not to lose ourselves while trying to hold onto someone who doesn’t want to stay. Th...

When the Effort Stops, So Does the Bond

When Silence Speaks Louder and Friendships Fade in a Moment Friendship is one of the most meaningful connections we experience, built slowly through trust, shared laughter, and emotional support. Yet, it’s fragile. What takes months or even years to create can be shattered in a moment of misunderstanding or neglect. In today’s fast-moving world, where conversations are often reduced to text messages and busy schedules, even small miscommunications can feel like betrayals . A comment taken the wrong way, an unexpected silence, or a simple assumption left unclarified can lead to hurt feelings. The deeper the bond, the deeper the pain. But misunderstandings aren’t always rooted in ill intent. More often, they stem from a lack of effort and communication . One person may be silently struggling, while the other grows distant without realising. Over time, effort fades. Messages are left unanswered. Calls are delayed. Emotional check-ins are skipped. Eventually, when a disagreement or ...

Not Every Leaf Falls Because of the Tree

Not Every Leaf Falls Because of the Tree There is a great metaphor between the trees and people. Sometimes a few leaves fall from the tree, but it is not always the fault of the tree. Similarly, it is true that when people walk away, it is not always your fault, and therefore, let the leaves fall. No matter how much a tree tries to hold a leaf, it falls off eventually.  Not all leaves fall from a tree because something is wrong with the tree. Sometimes, they fall because they are rotten, sick, or have simply reached the end of their time. In some cases, the leaf falls because of its own problems, like being damaged or unable to handle changes in the weather. Most importantly, at times, the leaf refuses to see the truth about itself or take responsibility for its part in the problem. This idea from nature teaches us something important about life and relationships: not every person who leaves does so because we did something wrong. Sometimes, people walk away because of their own is...

The Virtue of Honesty Over the Illusion of Wisdom

"Better Be an Honest Fool Than a Deceptive Sage" It is truly said, "Better be an honest fool than a deceptive sage." This powerful statement carries a timeless moral lesson: honesty and integrity are far more valuable than intelligence or spiritual knowledge especially when such qualities are misused. Life is filled with diverse people, each teaching us unique lessons. An "idiot" may lack formal education, deep understanding, or societal sophistication. They might not grasp complex ideas or act in traditionally "wise" ways. Yet, if they are sincere and truthful, they are often more trustworthy than someone who wears the mask of wisdom but hides deceit. A knowledgeable and spiritual liar is someone who appears educated, enlightened, or morally upright but uses that appearance to mislead and manipulate others. They may use their intellect or spiritual status to gain trust, while secretly serving selfish intentions. This form of dishonesty is espec...

When the Heart is True, Help Will Come

If our intentions are pure and our hearts are sincere, then we can trust that God will guide and support us. True sincerity carries a quiet strength it means acting with honesty, compassion, and a desire to do what is right, even when no one is watching. When we strive to live with integrity and kindness, our efforts align with a higher purpose. In those moments, even when the path seems uncertain, divine help often arrives in unexpected ways. Faith, patience, and a clean heart can open doors that effort alone cannot. With pure intentions, we invite grace into our lives.

Choosing Peace Over Pain: A Reflection on Sarah Marie Teasdale's Words

In the words of Sarah-Marie Teasdale:  "Life is too short, Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness, Laugh when you can, Apologize when you should And let go of what you can't change, Love deeply and forgive quickly, Take chances, give everything And have no regrets, Smile when you're sad, Love what you got And always remember what you had, Always forgive but never forget, Learn from your mistakes but never regret, People change and go wrong, But always remember LIFE GOES ON" Reflection on these lines: This quote is a reminder to live life with a full heart and an open mind. It encourages us not to hold grudges or stay stuck in the past, because life is too short for anger and regrets. Instead, we should laugh when we can, say sorry when needed, and accept the things we cannot change. It tells us to love deeply, forgive quickly, take risks, and give our best in everything we do. Even when life is hard or people hurt us, we should keep smiling, hold on to good memories...

Happiness is Like a Guest - A Simple Thought Inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s Athithi

Happiness is like a guest. It comes into our lives for a little while, makes us smile, and then quietly leaves. We cannot keep it forever, just like we cannot hold on to a guest who must go. Rabindranath Tagore’s short story Athithi (which means "The Guest") shows us this idea in a beautiful way. In the story, a young boy named Tarapada comes to a kind family. They treat him with love, and for a while, everyone is happy. But one day, without telling anyone, Tarapada leaves. He loved being with them, but he could not stay in one place. He wanted to be free. Tarapada is like happiness. He came, brought joy, and left. The story helps us understand that we should enjoy happy moments while they are with us. But when they pass, we should not be sad. Just like a good guest, happiness will come again one day. This teaches us to be thankful for the joy we have, even if it doesn’t last forever.

Today is not like yesterday and tomorrow will not be like the present day (Change is the only Constant)

Life is always moving. What we did yesterday is now a memory, and what we do today will soon become the past. Every day is different. The weather changes, people change, and we change too, sometimes in small ways, sometimes in big ones. That’s what makes life interesting. Even if change feels scary, it helps us learn and grow.  Change is a part of nature. Trees grow, seasons shift, rivers flow, and nothing stays the same forever. In the same way, our thoughts, feelings, and goals can change as we experience new things. We may not always notice it, but we are growing every day. Sometimes change feels exciting, like starting something new or meeting new people. Other times, it can feel scary or sad, like saying goodbye or letting go. But even the hard changes teach us something important. They help us become stronger, wiser, and more understanding. We can’t stop time, but we can choose how we move with it. Instead of fearing change, we can welcome it. Life will always bring s...

The Moon and Good People – A Simple Metaphor

Even when the night is very dark, the moon still shines. It doesn’t make noise or try to be noticed, but we all see its light. This is a simple way to understand something important: truth and good people are like the moon. In this journey of life, we may meet people who lie, hurt others, or do wrong things. But even in such a world, honest and kind people still shine. They stand out because they do what is right, even when others don’t see it. Just like the moon lights up the sky in darkness, good people bring light to the world. They give hope, peace, and show us the way. Truth is quiet, but it always shines through. So when everything feels dark, remember, the moon still shines. And so do the good people among us. It is truly said that-  "Even in darkness, the moon shines bright high in the sky. Likewise, truth and genuinely good people shine amidst a crowd of malice."

May the month of May turn each 'may' and 'might' into dreams fulfilled and goals in sight, So we rise with strength to wondrous heights, guided by hope and brighter lights.
